Legal Administrative Assistant-IP Litigation

Venable LLP is seeking an experienced individual for an exciting opportunity!  The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide support to assigned legal staff in our IP Litigation practice group in our San Francisco office.

 The ideal candidate will be responsible for... 

  • Litigation practice support
  • Travel arrangements, maintaining attorney calendars and scheduling engagements
  • Reading, prioritizing, routing and following up on incoming client communications
  • Processing new business intake and expense forms
  • Coordinating with accounting to complete monthly billing process
  • Utilizing quality control measures to produce error-free work consistently and efficiently
  • Supporting the lifecycle of client matters

 The successful candidate will demonstrate...

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of partner-level practice management support experience, including experience supporting an IP Litigation practice
  • Microsoft Office proficiency; passing scores on Microsoft Word and Outlook assessments
  • Proficient knowledge and usage of document management system (WorkSite/FileSite)
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to various practice management styles of assigned legal staff
  • Ability to independently and efficiently prioritize workflow, and maintain an organized task schedule
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
