Practice Group Assistant

Venable LLP is seeking a flexible and detail-oriented individual to join our regulatory group as a Practice Group Assistant (PGA) in Washington, DC! 

 The ideal candidate will be responsible for... 

  • Managing multiple databases in support of the practice group and clients
  • Preparing correspondence, legal documents, forms, & presentations
  • Proofreading and editing documentation for grammatical and typographical errors
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, itineraries and agendas, and compiling documents
  • Assisting with time entries, reviewing pre-bills and processing client invoices
  • Processing expenses and reimbursements

 The successful candidate will demonstrate...

  • A minimum of one to two years ‘of high-level administrative support experience in a fast-paced, high-performance culture
  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage workflow
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite –Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail, grammar, and punctuation, and the ability to effectively present ideas and findings visually
  • Must be highly organized, able to work independently with general supervision, and meet routine and unanticipated deadlines
  • Ability to process firm accounting data related to invoice processing and client billing
  • Able to assist with and/or manage heavy document production
  • Familiarity with various electronic documentation formatting to include databases, burning to CD, and flash drive storage
