Accounting Assistant

Venable LLP has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in our San Francisco, CA office! The qualified candidate will support a portion of the California accounting department and work directly with Billing Coordinators and Office Attorneys to execute invoices and enhance the invoice mailing process.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for...

  • Daily transmission of invoices via U.S. mail and email
  • Organization and time stamp tracking of delivered invoices
  • Updating client contact information
  • Monitoring, updating and distributing prebills in billing application and distributing rush checks
  • Supporting Client Account Management Team with statements and completion of vendor/client forms

The successful candidate will demonstrate...

  • Minimum of two years office experience preferably supporting an accounting team
  • Proficient mathematical and data entry skills
  • Experience using current Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong focus on client service and responsiveness
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks
