Sr. Business Development Specialist-Litigation

 The Sr. Business Development Specialist will be responsible for creating and maintaining best practices to enhance the value of the Marketing team to the firm.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for... 

  • Reviewing, developing, implementing and managing individual business development plans for division attorneys in accordance with practice group plans
  • Coaching attorneys on best practices for marketing content; developing content for event and non-event related marketing materials
  • Assessing division tradeshow needs, attending trade shows, managing onsite registration of firm-sponsored events, assisting with execution, and coordinating set-up and tear down of booth/materials
  • Conducting qualitative business research and reviewing/summarizing results
  • Preparing various marketing reports; maintaining spreadsheets, project lists and event/project plans ensuring information is current
  • Collaborating with division practice group leaders on various items to include:
    • Updating biographies and practice group descriptions
    • Preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
    • Maintaining lists of representational clients and matters

 The successful candidate will demonstrate...

  • A Bachelor’s degree in related field or education/experience equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably at a law firm or similar professional services environment
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with databases and PC applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required
  • Working knowledge of website & Intranet database/technology and mass e-mail distribution software
  • The ability to estimate production times and to oversee production of client/firm mailings, proposals and other marketing materials
  • The capacity to manage large internal and external events from developing theme to post-event analysis
  • The ability to develop, implement and track results of short/long-term business development plans
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business objectives
  • The ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility to travel to marketing/firm events/meetings
