Venable LLP is seeking a motivated Practice Group Assistant to join our Baltimore, MD office. The Practice Group Assistant provides support for administrative tasks, document production and practice specific support to Legal Administrative Assistants and legal staff.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for...

  • Monitoring, uploading, and maintaining documentation in various electronic platforms and hard copy files
  • Attorney time entry, managing travel arrangements, and expense reimbursements
  • Creating client binders, processing mail, scheduling conference rooms and submitting invoices
  • Assisting Legal Administrative Assistants with special projects as needed
  • Managing multiple databases in support of practice groups and clients
  • Assisting with edits to client bills

The successful candidate will demonstrate...

  • One to three years of related experience in a professional organization
  • Microsoft Office Suite – working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience working within databases or eRoom platforms
  • Ability to handle a high volume of filing and assist with travel arrangements and expense reimbursements
  • Ability to assist with and/or manage heavy document production and project management
  • Experience prioritizing and managing workflow in a fast-paced environment
