Venable LLP has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and organized Professional Development & Training Assistant to join our team in our DC headquarters. The Professional Development & Training Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to our training team.

 The ideal candidate will be responsible for... 

  • Assisting with reserving conference rooms, arranging audio/visual set up, and catering needs.
  • Scheduling individual orientation appointments for new lawyers.
  • Managing PLI roster as lawyers leave and join the firm.
  • Processing check and reimbursement requests.
  • Providing general event support; attending events when needed.

The successful candidate will demonstrate...

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of one year of related experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, filing skills required.
  • Ability to communicate in both oral and written form, including the ability to compose, edit and proofread routine business correspondence.
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands.
