Venable LLP is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join the Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights group in our Tysons Corner, VA office. The hired individual will provide comprehensive administrative and client project support to assigned legal staff. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for...

  • Document production
  • Client billing and new matter file opening; court filings, including e-filing
  • Scheduling/calendar maintenance
  • Litigation practice support
  • Time and data entry and transcription
  • Travel arrangements

The successful candidate will demonstrate...

  • 3-5 years’ experience supporting bankruptcy, corporate, real estate and/or related practices
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; typing speed of 55 wpm
  • Experience filing court documents through e-filing and on-site at court houses
  • Ability to transcribe various projects using digital systems (Big Hand)
  • Experience using WorkSite/FileSite or other document management systems
  • Experience with AIA software, Best Case software and LawManagerPro preferred
  • Ability to compose, edit and proofread legal documents, correspondence and reports
  • Strong proofreading skills and overall consistent attention to detail
